Don't mix ghosts with angels, the mural at the entrance of the Sanità District

The mural "Don't mix ghosts with angels" "Nu 'mmescà 'e fantasme cu ll'angiule" is located at the entrance of the Rione Sanità and is the result of the work of Colletti

"Nu 'mmescà 'e fantasme cu ll'angiule"
Simone from Collettivo FX writes it clearly, for whom this mural cost an entire day of work. The street artist, in fact, had to remove the election posters stuck on the wall before creating the work in the Rione Sanità, in Naples.
The mural, which is also part of the "Madonne dell'Adesso" project, depicts a Black Madonna and two children. Of the two, the one in the Madonna's arms has African features and a halo, and tries to remove a ghost (or a demon) from the head of the other child, who has wings. It's not quite clear which of the two is the child and which is the angel, but it doesn't matter. There is no clear division, after all, between good and bad, between angels and demons; there are those who fight today to drive out the ghosts of the neighborhood, and there are those who haven't had many alternatives in life.
The street art work is inspired by the image of the Madonna della Sanità, the oldest in Naples, found in the nearby church of Santa Maria della Sanità (also called the Church of San Vincenzo, due to the presence of the statue of Vincenzo Ferrer), and is located almost at the entrance of Borgo Vergini, as if to make it clear that those who enter must be aware that sharing, hospitality, tolerance towards others, integration, and liberation from prejudice are the foundation of the neighborhood's rebirth.
The project arose in collaboration with the San Gennaro Foundation and Il fazzoletto di perle and has attracted several street artists to the neighborhood.
